Our events are designed to create more reasons for people to come into Gillingham, spend time locally, connect with others and celebrate what the town has to offer.

Harvest on the Meadow
Sunday 27 September 2026
We are planning a warm, seasonal event with a focus on local produce, farm-to-fork ideas, community stalls, family-friendly activity and opportunities to support local causes, including the foodbank.

Interested in taking part?
We would love to hear from local producers, traders, community groups, schools, performers, volunteers and businesses who would like to be involved.
Halloween event
A Halloween event is being planned for October.
More information will be shared soon, including the date, location and ways for local families, businesses and community groups to get involved.
Christmas activity
Gillingham Rising will also be supporting activity in the build-up to Christmas.
We will be sharing more details soon about seasonal events, High Street activity and community opportunities designed to bring people together and support local footfall during the festive period.

Gillingham Rising on the Meadow
Our first event, Gillingham Rising on the Meadow, brought people together for a community-focused day on the Meadow.
The event helped us start building connections, listening to local ideas and showing what can happen when residents, businesses, groups and volunteers come together with a shared vision for the town.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, traded, performed, shared ideas or helped spread the word.
